Using the kit
Correct from the first upload
Download is the safest choice. Copy image is useful for pasting into supported desktop apps, while Copy link is best for sharing the approved file with a colleague.
Do not resize first
Each file is already exported at the platform's recommended dimensions. Upload it directly.
Respect the safe area
Read the crop guide under each asset to see which parts of the artwork stay visible on every device.
Check the live crop
Platforms can adjust display crops between mobile and desktop. Preview before saving.
Instagram uses icons
Instagram does not provide a profile cover. Use the supplied square profile icon instead.
File choice
PNG or JPG?
Use PNG for logos
PNG keeps hard logo edges crisp. Every profile icon is supplied as PNG, and each cover also has a PNG option.
Use JPG for covers
JPG is smaller and usually uploads faster. It is the default download for photography-led cover images.

Which file should I upload, JPG or PNG?
Use the JPG cover for faster uploads and the PNG where the platform recompresses heavily. Icons are PNG.
Why are the files larger than the platform sizes?
They are supplied at 2x so they stay sharp on high-resolution screens. Upload them as they are and the platform scales them down.
Does Instagram have a cover image?
No. Instagram has no native profile cover, so only the profile icons are supplied for Instagram.
